
Hi, I’m Zach Morrow. Just a guy with a grill. I’m a native Texan, born and raised, so I’d like to think I know a thing or two about Texas barbecue.
My love for grilling started when I built my first grill in high school. The first thing I cooked? Drunken chicken. Thanks for asking.

From there I moved to a propane grill, more of an outdoor kitchen accessory. It didn’t get me excited. Burgers, sure. The occasional steak, okay. But nothing to jump up and down about.
Then came the Traeger pellet grill.
Over the past year I’ve cooked brisket, turkey, prime rib, pork butt, St. Louis style ribs, bacon-wrapped jalepenos, shotgun shells, pig shots, and so much more. Don’t even get me started on my Butter Burgers or my reverse-seared steak. I’ll be here all night telling you about them.

Getting hungry yet? Yeah, me too. The more I talk about meat, the hungrier I get.


And the more it makes me want to try new things!
For instance, I recently tried my hand at a brand new dish, a Breakfast Fatty. It turned out to be one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tried.

But on this site we’re not just about the meat. Not even close. I’m going to share recipes for appetizers, pastas, and all sorts of side dishes, perfect with the meat.
I’ve also learned a lot about rubs, spices, and marinades. I’ve got my favorites and I’m discovering new ones every day.
I’ve also learned a lot about maintaining my grill and choosing the right tools that won’t break the bank.
I’m on a journey. I’m still learning. I’m still growing. And trust me, I’m still cooking. And loving every bite. Stick with me and we’ll learn together.
